Jillian Douglas, DO, specializes in Internal Medicine and Diabetes. She treats a wide range of endocrine disorders including conditions of the thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands, as well as lipid disorders. Dr. Douglas also offers treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome and infertility, and is a nutritionist, obesity and diabetes educator.
Dr.
Douglas is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine for
Diabetes, Metabolism and Endocrinology, and by the American Association of
Clinical Endocrinologists. Dr. Douglas received her Bachelor of Science in
Human Nutrition and Foods from West Virginia University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2003. She achieved
the title of Doctor of Osteopathy from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic
Medicine in 2008. Dr. Douglas completed her residency in Internal Medicine at
West Virginia University Hospitals in 2011. Dr. Douglas completed her
Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism and Nutrition at Marshall
University.
Before beginning practice at Southern West Virginia ENT, Dr. Douglas interviewed for positions across the east coast, but ultimately chose to continue practicing in the state of West Virginia. Dr. Douglas offers University-level endocrine care in a small town atmosphere at the offices of Southern West Virginia ENT & Endocrinology.
